A number of factors need to be considered when selecting a wood burning stove. While there are plenty of tools which can help you estimate the number of kilowatts you’ll require, a survey from Stoves and Fireplaces of Cheltenham will ensure that not only will the heat output be adequate but that the room will be enhanced by a feature which pleases all of your senses.
Our surveys consider questions such as:
- Is the stove to be a primary or secondary heat source?
- How big is the room?
- Are the windows single or double glazed?
- How many walls are external?
- Is the stove to heat the one room or is it to heat a wider area, possibly incorporating a staircase?
- Do you want the option of burning smokeless fuel? (If so, you need a multifuel stove)
